It was time for a new nature shelf in our house. This may be a little hopeful, but I put in a few early signs of spring and took out most of the "snow". I love how it was such a collaboration between Grace and I. She made a couple of the acorn dolls, painted the watercolor in the background, and arranged it how she wanted.

I made a couple of flower fairies to add to the scene. The white and green one is supposed to be Snowdrop, and the purple and green one is supposed to be Violet (although it reminds me more of eggplant ;). I found the idea for these in
The Children's Year.

We've placed a Paper White bulb in the vase and will plant some watercress in the wooden bowl around the tree when we get a little closer to Easter.

What a whimsical corner. Just the reminder of Spring we need this time of year in the Winter Doldrums!
hi! I came across your blog through Kellans. How cute is that corner!
So cute Dawn - I love the little fairies! Take care - Kellan
That is so sweet. I love the idea of adding some real plants later on.
Nice! I love the colors.

It's very sweet. We are so not in the spring mood yet...we won't have leaves on our trees until mid-MAY. Thanks for your kind comment on my blog yesterday. Your posts make me smile too!
It's so pretty & hopeful!
The painting is beautiful Grace.
And I've never met anyone who doesn't like egg plant, he he he...Xxx
Very cute! Again!
Just beautiful!

Oh, LOVELY! I was thinking of setting up a spring table too, although we are SO far from spring here.
You're at it again! Making the rest of us have to fight for second place at the "Mom of the Year" contest. Looks good!
That is so cute! Another great idea!
I loved that idea. I'm trying to keep track on four seasons here in the middle of just one very hot season. I don't want the kids to forget about winter. Maybe a nature table or shelf will help.
I love this! I hope you don't mind if I post your link up in the main part of my post. Thanks for sharing :)
I hope you have a wonderful day!
Those are adorable. I will have to try it.
